Walking your dog in Wharfdale
We’re literally surrounded by dog friendly walks both in our village and across the dale in Grassington. Some of the best were captured in a Yorkshire Life article on the six best walks around Grassington, published last year. The article includes walks from Grassington to Conistone, a loop walk that goes past our door joining Linton, Burnsall & Grassington and even some that are a little further afield. Whichever you choose there will be a warm welcome on your triumphant return.
If any of that sounds tempting, then why not have a think about visiting us.
Seasonal dog walking tips
Whenever you are planning to walk, there are a few tips you should follow to make sure every adventure is a happy one. On shorter, darker days; Invest in some high viz for you and your dog and carry a dedicated torch.
When the days eventually get brighter and warmer, replace the high viz and torch with sunscreen and water (for you and the dog). Then, whenever you go remember that having a charged phone is a modern day essential, as is keeping your pooch on a lead, especially in open countryside.
Enjoy the walk and we’ll look forward to hearing all about it when you get back.
